Redeeming Vouchers for iPad/iPhone Apps
Apple has implemented a voucher program for education customers. This allows ACES staff and faculty to use departmental funds to purchase work-related apps for the iOS devices, such as the iPhone and iPad. Please note that while we will always provide support, we cannot guarantee the functionality or stability of third-party apps.
To request a voucher for a specific app, please submit a request to the ATS Admin IT Tech Support Team. Include the name of the app (if you know it) and a CFOAPAL.
Once approved, you will receive a download code via email.
You will need to create an Apple ID (preferably with your university email address) and sign in to it on the iPad before you can redeem a download code.
Once you have an Apple ID, on your device, go to Settings -> iTunes & App Stores and enter the Apple ID information to sign in.
After you’ve signed in, follow these steps to redeem the provided voucher code:
1. Open the email on your iOS device and tap the emailed link.
2. The App Store will launch and the “Redeem” option will appear.
3. Tap “Redeem” and enter your Apple ID if prompted.
4. The app will start downloading on the furthest-right Home Screen.
5. If you have more than one code to redeem, repeat steps 1-4.
