There are many options for connecting remotely to your office computer from a mobile device like an iPad or Android tablet. ATS AdminIT periodically surveys the options and looks for apps to recommend.

At the moment, we recommend Wyse PocketCloud Pro for full remote desktop access from an iPad, iPhone, or Android device. You can learn more about the app at the developer’s website here.

If all you need to access from off-campus are you network share drives, you may find that remote desktop is overkill. If that’s the case, then we recommend Stratospherix’s FileBrowser app for iPad and iPhone. You can learn more about FileBrowser at the developer’s website here.

At this time, we do not have any specific app recommendations for accessing network shares from an Android device.
