Connecting to the new Quickbooks server

Admin IT has recently upgraded to a new Quickbooks server and Quickbooks program version. Follow these steps to connect to the new server via Remote Desktop from your Windows work computer.
For Macs, do steps 1 and 2 and click Connect. Then use uofi\NetID and your Campus AD password to connect.
1. On your computer, open Remote Desktop Connection
2. Type the new server name: aces-quickbooks.ad.uillinois.edu
3. Don’t click “Connect” yet!
4. Click “Show Options”
5. Type in your username. Ex. uofi\NetID
6. Click “Save”
7. Now you can click “Connect”
8. Log in to the new server with your NetID and Campus AD password. These should be the same as the credentials you use to log in to your work computer.
9. On the new server desktop, double-click the new QuickBooks icon to open it.
10. When you’re done working in Quickbooks and have closed the program, click the Windows logo (Start Menu)
11. In the top-right corner, click your name (NOT the “Power” symbol) and choose “Sign out”
