The program is now available to all University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of ACES students and faculty. Important Notes

  1. Users can copy and paste up to 20 pages of text for review at one time.
  2. There is no limit to the number of written texts that users can submit or the number of times users can submit a single body of text.
  3. Grammarly@edu may retain the user’s last submitted text or recommended suggestions; however, the system does not save the text. Therefore, users need to save the text elsewhere before exiting the system.
  4. Grammarly@edu serves as an automated online assistance tool for writing, but it may not find every possible error. Users also still need to use their own judgment when considering recommended changes because some may not be necessary based on context. Users should not simply accept all changes for the paper; rather, they should read over each recommendation carefully and make the best decision.
  5. Be sure to use the Grammarly@edu web site listed on page 1, under instructions to create you Grammarly account; do NOT use www.grammarly.com (which is for individual users not tied to the Illinois College of ACES access account).
  6. Do NOT share this access code or information with others, as the Grammarly@edu license is valid for a particular number of users based on college enrollment. Exceeding the number of user accounts can lead to delays in service or even termination of contract; therefore, please limit this access information to the students in your course.
  7. Communicate to the students about limited number of license issue, and have them keep the access code private.
