How to move the Windows taskbar to different monitor in a dual monitor setup
When using more than one monitor with Windows you may wish to have the Windows task bar and start menu appear on a monitor other than the primary display.
To do move the Windows Taskbar to a different monitor:
- Right Click on an open area of the Taskbar
- Make sure that there is not a Checkmark next to the “Lock Taskbar” option. If there is a checkmark next to “Lock the Taskbar” click it and the checkmark will toggle off.
- Left click on an open area of the Taskbar. While continuing to hold down left click drag the Taskbar to the monitor that where you wish it to be displayed.
- Once it is positioned where you want it. Right click and toggle “Lock Taskbar” back on so the the checkmark once again appears next to “Lock Taskbar”
